Let us help you complete your application

Whether you are starting an application or completing one, we've compiled these resources and tips and tricks to help you get approved faster.

Understanding contractor VelocityGO placeholders

To ensure your project is approved, please upload the following documents to the application record in VelocityGO:

  • A PDF copy of project proforma from the Web Proforma Plus tool available on NYSERDA's website.
  • A copy of the project contract, signed and dated by both the contractor and customer. As long as the document is signed by both the customer and the contractor, any signature type is accepted.

The documentation needed to show completion varies by program type, and may be subject to change. Be sure to visit NYSERDA's website for specific completion documentation based on your program type.

Acceptable signatures for these documents include: At least one of the borrowers must sign using one of these 4 programs – DocuSign, Cudasign (SignNow), Echosign (a form of Adobe), Adobe – or pen to paper. A certificate is needed if Slipstream EFS cannot identify how the document was signed. Typed signatures outside of these programs are not acceptable.

Note: All solar project completions must be done through the NYSUN portal and there is nothing that you need to submit to Slipstream EFS directly.

Or provide a statement from the employer on company letterhead, identifying the customer, starting current and YTD gross income (must be dated within 30 days of the application.

In order for a contractor to begin work on your project, your loan documents must be signed and submitted.

The easiest way to sign and complete your loan documents is to sign using DocuSign, using the link provided by Slipstream EFS through email. If requested, loan documents may be sent (emailed or mailed) to the customer to be physically signed, pen to paper. This will delay the processing of your application and project.

Mailed, uploaded, or emailed loan documents electronically signed without using the DocuSign link provided by Slipstream EFS aren’t acceptable.

A processing fee of $150.00 is required at approval. For your convenience, we will automatically include this fee in your final loan amount unless you send a personal check to Slipstream EFS prior to your loan approval.

Confirmation of property ownership for at least one applicant is required for on-bill financing applications. This verification will be initiated on the customer's behalf and no action is needed on your part, once the application has been submitted.

If Slipstream EFS cannot automatically verify your property ownership, documentation evidencing property ownership may be requested. If you are not applying for an on-bill repayment option, this is not required.

This placeholder indicated that your utility account number is required to complete your application. Please upload your complete utility account number to the record in VelocityGO or provide it to us via email at efs@energyfinancesolutions.com.
